Here Today, a Brentwood-based discount retailer that opened its first store last year in Florissant and added a second metro St. Louis store this week, in Fairview Heights, is on the verge of further expansion. Here Today is building a third store in Fenton and plans to open eight more locations in 2015.

Here Today stores offer an array of items, including TVs, frozen food and appliances. Grocery items account for 50 percent of the products available, with the remaining zones featuring hardline goods such as electronics and softline goods, including clothing.

Here Today’s managing partner and CEO said the stores are designed to have a quirky assortment, comparing it to a mix between a Marshalls, Trader Joe’s and HomeGoods. Investors raised $6 million to get the value retail chain started a year ago.
