Emerson plans to fund scholarships for Ferguson students

Emerson Electric Co. intends to fund scholarships for students in Ferguson, home to the Fortune 500 company’s world headquarters and site of unrest caused by the shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer. Emerson Executive Vice President Patrick Sly said he planned to meet with officials at Ranken Technical College to hammer out details for scholarships for 50 Ferguson students. The company said details will be released later.
