Scottish startup to open St. Louis office

MiiCard, a Scottish startup that was one of the first four financial technology companies to participate in the SixThirty accelerator program in 2013, intends to open a St. Louis office. The company is also tapping Cultivation Capital general partner Peter Esparrago to be its president of North America operations.

MiiCard is an online verification service that looks to connect people and businesses so they can perform transactions easily. The web-based service leverages online financial accounts to verify a person’s identity through a patented process.
