Kansas City area’s largest mixed-use development resumes

A Kansas City firm developing 300 acres in Overland Park, Kan., has started vertical construction of the residential and retail components of the project, renamed BluHawk, after a long delay caused by the recession. Price Development Group LLC originally announced the huge mixed-use project, under the name the Village of Overland Park, in 2007. A development and acquisitions official said work will begin soon on part of the 1 million square feet of retail space planned at BluHawk.
