Former Chiefs player sues team for copyright infringement

Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Chris Martin has sued the team and the Chiefs Ambassadors, a community organization made up of former players, for copyright infringement over the use of his artwork without permission.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, alleges the group used Martin’s artwork without his consent on promotional materials such jackets, hats and its website. Meanwhile, the Ambassadors claim they trademarked Martin’s artwork.
