Clayton circuit board company to be acquired in $368 million deal

The Clayton-based Viasystems Group is being acquired by a California rival, TTM Technologies, for $368 million.

Viasystems makes the circuit boards that go into other electronic devices. The acquisition will create one of the largest printed circuit board manufacturing firms in the world. Combined, the companies will employ about 30,000 in 28 locations around the globe. Viasystems currently has 14,800 employees worldwide.

TTM Technologies will acquire each outstanding share of Viasystems stock for $11.33 and 0.706 shares of TTM common stock. With debt, the deal is valued at $927 million.
