Missouri gaming industry slide continues

Gross revenues at Missouri’s 13 casinos dropped 5 percent for Fiscal Year 2013-’14, and casino admissions were down 8 percent, according to the state gaming commission’s annual report. The commission’s executive director, Roger Stottlemyre, said the decline, for the fourth straight year, is related to the slow but continued economic recovery. The director said patrons are spending less time in casinos, and the commission report suggests potential casino patrons are not willing to part with their disposable income.
