Arvest to offer Apple Pay service

Arvest Bank is one of the first regional banks in the Kansas City area to announce that it will participate in the Apple Pay mobile wallet system, joining national banks operating in Missouri such as Bank of America, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.

Apple Pay was introduced about a month ago with the launch of the new iPhone 6. It allows customers to load credit and debit cards from participating banks into their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, then simply hold the device about one inch from a special reader at retail locations to make payments. There are about 220,000 retailers participating in Apple Pay.
