Royals World Series tickets reach record prices on secondary market

World Series tickets at Kauffman Stadium are already smashing records for the most expensive Kansas City-area sports ticket.

A Game One ticket on a secondary market has an average price of $1,433, making the tickets the most expensive in the area in at least four years. Tickets to the 2012 MLB All Star Game held the previous record, at $864.

The cheapest Game One tickets are listed for more than $650, with the average standing room-only ticket priced near $900.
