Software startup Gremln raises $500,000 from St. Louis VC

Gremln, a St. Louis startup that makes software for social media management in the financial services industry, has raised $500,000 from St. Louis-based venture capital firm Cultivation Capital.

Founded in 2011, Gremln has raised about $2 million to date, including funds raised in April from SixThirty, the financial technology accelerator backed by Cultivation Capital.

The company does not disclose revenue figures, but Gremln President Ryan Bell said the startup has grown roughly 500 percent since early 2013.
