Post completes $128 million purchase of peanut butter maker

Post Holdings Inc. has completed its $128 million acquisition of peanut butter manufacturer American Blanching Co. Brentwood-based Post announced the deal in August, saying that Georgia-based American Blanching would add $135 million in sales and $14 million to $16 million in profit.

The company also said it expected to combine American Blanching with another peanut butter maker and Post subsidiary, Golden Boy Foods, which Post acquired in December 2013 for $301 million.
