Anheuser-Busch to acquire Oregon craft brewer 10 Barrel

Anheuser-Busch, the St. Louis-based subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, is adding another craft brewery to its portfolio by acquiring 10 Barrel Brewing Co., a fast-growing brewery in the Pacific Northwest. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by year’s end, were not disclosed.

Bend, Ore.-based 10 Barrel sells its beers are in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The company has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, estimating it will sell 40,000 barrels of beer this year after selling a reported 23,500 last year.

“The brewery is a major contender in the Northwest, an area with a large number of craft breweries,” Andy Goeler, CEO of Anheuser-Busch’s craft division, said in a statement. “We see tremendous value in the brewery’s unique offerings and differentiated style.”
