Cerner breaks ground on Three Trails campus

Gov. Jay Nixon and Kansas City Mayor Sly James were in attendance as ground broke on Cerner’s $4.45 billion Three Trails campus on the city’s south side. Once completed, the office complex in the former Bannister Mall location is expected to hold as many as 16,000 of the company’s employees.

Cerner president Zane Burke stressed that those jobs would be new jobs rather than relocated ones, “jobs we hope to fill with a homegrown, Kansas City workforce.”
