Boulevard Brewing Co., the No. 12 craft brewery in the United States, began construction Wednesday on a $12 million expansion project intended to help it meet additional capacity needs as it expands its market. The expansion, named Cellar Five, is expected to increase Boulevard’s beer fermentation capacity by 40 percent.
The new facilities will include a 3,600-square-foot, single-story fermentation structure and a two-story, 8,400-square-foot utility and process building. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2015.
