SLU Hospital service provider change will bring 100 layoffs

Saint Louis University Hospital’s change in environmental services providers from Aramark to Crothall Healthcare will cost 100 employees their jobs, according to a recent document filed by the hospital. According to a spokesperson for Philadelphia-based Aramark, the company’s contract with SLU Hospital, in place since 1999, simply reached an end. Crothall Healthcare, located in Pennsylvania, will reportedly offer jobs to all current Aramark employees at the hospital — except managers.
