DST Systems invests in KC startup CouponCloud
DST Systems has invested an undisclosed amount in Kansas City-based startup CouponCloud Inc., the maker of a cloud-based platform to help manufacturers and retailers manage coupons.
The capital infusion from DST, a Kansas City-based company that provides information processing technology and services, is expected to allow CouponCloud to more than double its headcount, to a total of about 17 employees, and ramp up marketing efforts.
The deal also raises the possibility of DST acquiring CouponCloud at a later date.
CouponCloud is a 2014 graduate of SparkLab, a Kansas City startup accelerator program that counts DST among its sponsors.
