LaunchCode, the St. Louis organization created to train people for jobs in the tech sector, is looking to expand to all 50 states.

LaunchCode, which was recently lauded by President Barack Obama in his announcement of a $100 million national tech training program, did not specify the timeline for expansion. LaunchCode executive director Brendan Lind said the organization is in discussions with several cities, but he declined to specify which ones.

Jim McKelvey, who started LaunchCode and is also the co-founder of mobile payments company Square, has previously suggested potential targets for expansion include Philadelphia, Baltimore and Denver.

Founded in 2013, LaunchCode recently expanded to Miami with the help of a $1.25 million Knight Foundation grant. Lind said the program would require similar funding in order to set up in other markets.
