Legislature advances agriculture bills in final day before break

Missouri lawmakers sent one agricultural bill to Gov. Jay Nixon’s desk on Thursday and advanced another in their final day before spring break.

The legislature advanced provisions found in an agriculture omnibus bill that Nixon vetoed last year over language that would have defined captive deer as livestock. This year’s version of the bill does not contain the captive deer provisions.
