Kansas City to drop Lyft litigation

Kansas City will dismiss its lawsuit against ride-sharing service Lyft.

City Attorney Kathy Adams said she anticipates the suit will be dropped when the city’s recently approved for-hire transportation service ordinance goes into effect. Approved April 9, the ordinance takes effect Sunday.

San Francisco-based Lyft voluntarily suspended operations in Kansas City in October, when the city began rewriting its ordinances regulating taxis and other for-hire transportation.
