U.S. customers who use Boost Mobile now will have access to prepaid packages to call and text people in Cuba. The packages were announced on Thursday by Boost, which is part of Sprint, the Overland Park, Kan.-based telecom company.
Boost’s plan follows President Barack Obama’s relaxing U.S. commercial regulations on Cuba.
The service is called Cuba Monthly Connect. The company will offer the plan for $50 per month, which is equivalent to 30 cents per minute. Boost plans to target customers in Miami.
