Bud Light label sparks controversy

Anheuser-Busch drew heavy criticism this week over the label on some of its Bud Light bottles as part of its #UpForWhatever campaign. The label read: “The perfect beer for removing ‘No’ from your vocabulary.”

The label generated strong responses on social media, where critics said the messaging condoned sexual assault and irresponsible actions.

Anheuser-Busch issued an apology for the label, saying the message “missed the mark.” Some defended the label on social media, tweeting that it was just “incredibly badly worded.”
