Post-Dispatch parent company to sell newspaper’s longtime home

Lee Enterprises, which owns the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, said Tuesday it will sell the newspaper’s headquarters and relocate its operations. With the move, the Post-Dispatch joins a growing list of metropolitan papers to sell their headquarters amid industrywide declines in revenue.
The newspaper has called its current downtown location home since 1959, and Post-Dispatch Publisher Ray Farris said the publication would like to find a new location downtown.
The property has an appraised value of $4.1 million. An asking price has not been disclosed for the building.
