Four retail and entertainment businesses opening locations in Johnson County in the next couple of weeks are bringing around 1,000 jobs to the Kansas City suburbs.

Topgolf, a Dallas-based entertainment company with venues that are part driving range, part bar and part restaurant, will open a branch on Friday in Overland Park, Kan. The 65,000-square foot facility will be staffed by more than 450 workers, including servers, bartenders and managers.

Sporting goods store Scheels will employ around 375 employees at a new store in Overland Park, which will open Saturday.

Overland Park will also welcome the Container Store on Saturday. The retailer will have a staff of about 40 people.
