SunEdison has announced a purchase and a partnership, acquiring an Indian wind energy company and teaming with an energy storage startup from California in separate deals.
The Maryland Heights-based renewable energy company signed an agreement to acquire Continuum Wind Energy Limited, Singapore with assets in India. Continuum owns and operates 242 megawatts (MW) of wind power plants and has several more projects underway across India. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SunEdison also announced it will combine with Green Charge Networks, a commercial energy storage startup near Silicon Valley, to deliver a solar plus storage system to Silicon Valley Power, a municipal utility that serves Santa Clara, Calif.
