The resurgence of Kansas City’s East Crossroads neighborhood is showing no signs of slowing.
The area, located just south of downtown Kansas City and due east of the Crossroads Arts District, welcomed a wave of new businesses earlier this year. Now, another group of new tenants are scheduled to open shop in the neighborhood, including a distillery, winery, breweries, a restaurant and potentially a beer hall.
“People are feeling very positive and willing to take a risk,” said Suzie Aron, owner of Aron Real Estate, who is on the board of the Crossroads Community Association. “They want to be entrepreneurs, and this is a neighborhood that welcomes entrepreneurs — tenants and owners.”
