Drug and device companies paid $46 million to Missouri doctors in 2014, according to Open Payments data.

Open Payments is the federally run transparency program that collects information about financial relationships between doctors and heath care manufacturing companies. These relationships can involve payment for a range of purposes, including royalty fees, research activities, gifts, speaking fees, meals or travel.

Information on individual doctors and hospitals in available through the Open Payments website or a searchable database by ProPublica.
