The University of Missouri Press has returned to the university campus after more than 25 years. Press Director David Rosenbaum said bringing the UM Press back to campus has been a goal since he assumed his responsibilities in 2013.
The UM Press, which publishes scholarly works, particularly ones focused on the Missouri history, was founded on MU’s campus more than 50 years ago, but it had operated from a warehouse southeast of campus until this month. Because the UM Press no longer does its own printing, the warehouse space became unnecessary.
Rosenbaum said being on campus increases the visibility of the press and also facilitates the interaction between the press and other offices on campus.
