About 380 workers in the Kansas City area will lose jobs this fall because of the end of supplier deals tied to the Chevrolet Malibu at the General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kan.

Inteva Products in North Kansas City will lay off about 180 people at the end of October when its contract expires for cockpit assembly of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse.

The Woodbridge Sequencing Center will cut close to 200 employees, as its contract to make parts for the Malibu expires Oct. 31.

The Fairfax facility is rolling out a redesigned 2016 Malibu. It continues to produce the Buick LaCrosse.
