UMB partners with startup accelerator SixThirty

Kansas City-based UMB Financial Corporation will invest alongside the St. Louis-based startup accelerator SixThirty, which invests in financial services technology startups from around the world.

Exactly how much UMB will invest in each startup was not disclosed. SixThirty twice annually invests $100,000 into a handful of startups.

Beyond the financial commitment, it’s another positive sign for the local startup community, as it will “attract and grow some of the most promising ideas in the fintech space,” SixThirty Managing Partner Atul Kamra said in a statement.
