Megabus, the long-distance bus line that operates blue, double-decker buses, will stop offering service to Kansas City and Columbia, effective Wednesday.

Megabus said in a statement that declining customer demand is the major reason it’s shutting down operations in the two cities.

The bus line has been serving Kansas City since 2007 and Columbia since 2008. The company has not given any indication that it plans to discontinue service to St. Louis, the only other Missouri market it serves.
