Barry-Wehmiller, a Clayton-based provider of manufacturing technology and services, is extending its string of recent international acquisitions with the purchase of a German company that designs and manufactures of paper converting machinery.

Barry-Wehmiller, one of the St. Louis area’s largest privately held companies, will purchase Winkler+Dünnebier GmbH in a deal that includes W+D’s German operations and the company’s U.S. and Malaysian subsidiaries.

Terms of the deal for W+D, which has about 360 associates worldwide, were not disclosed.

The Clayton-based firm reported $1.43 billion in revenue last year, and company officials have said revenue should approach $2.4 billion with Barry-Wehmiller’s growth overseas.
