Google Express is expanding its overnight delivery service throughout the Midwest, and St. Louis is among the cities where the service is debuting Tuesday.
Google launched Google Express two years ago to expand its commerce arm, offering an alternative to Amazon Prime. Through the service, customers can order from 18 national retailers including Target, Costco and Barnes & Noble, and have merchandise delivered the following day for a yearly membership of $95.
Ultimately, the company plans to expand Google Express nationwide, he said. In addition to the St. Louis region, which includes the Metro East, Google Express is starting service Tuesday in Des Moines, Cleveland, Detroit, among other cities.
