A-B laying off analytic support staff in St. Louis

About 40 Anheuser-Busch analytical business support employees in St. Louis will be laid off following a review of the brewer’s North American business services centers.

St. Louis-based A-B, the U.S. headquarters for Belgium-based A-B InBev, confirmed the job functions are moving to its ‘Global Center’ in India, but would not specify an exact number of affected employees. Only a portion of A-B’s business services center operations in St. Louis are moving, the brewer said.

A-B does not disclose how many employees it currently has in St. Louis, but said in 2011 its local employee count was about 4,000.
