Next month, more than 20 early-stage St. Louis medical and biotech companies will get the chance to court potential customers from the St. Louis health care industry when both groups meet at Cortex on Nov. 3.
“We’re inviting more than 200 physicians from the region to discover the newest companies impacting the next generation of health care,” said Carter Williams, CEO and managing partner at iSelect, a venture capital company that works with financial advisors and their clients to provide funding to early-stage companies. Williams touts St. Louis as a top location for health care, citing innovation, local universities and Express Scripts’ headquarters.
The event, Evidence-Based Innovation 1.0, will look to accomplish two things. First, early-stage companies will get the opportunity to create awareness about their innovation and receive valuable feedback from the attending physicians. Second, the attendees will have unprecedented access to engage directly with world class industry thought leaders.
