Bill Lucas, the president of Crown Center Redevelopment Corp., will retire at the end of the year after running the organization for 20 years.
Stacey Paine, a vice president of finance at Hallmark, will replace Lucas.
In her new role, Paine will provide strategic leadership and direction for Crown Center, an 85-acre complex south of downtown Kansas City that includes hotel, residential, retail, office and entertainment properties. Crown Center is financed by Kansas City’s Hallmark Cards Inc. and attracts 6 million visitors each year.
Hallmark CEO Don Hall said in a statement that Lucas’ “strong leadership has continued to transform Crown Center, making it a vibrant part of downtown Kansas City and one of the region’s premier family entertainment destinations.”
