Missouri ranks near bottom for energy efficiency

Missouri continues to be one of the worst states for energy efficiency efforts, according to a national report ranking state energy conservation policies.

The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy released its annual scorecard Wednesday, ranking Missouri 44th for its efficiency policies during 2014. That was the same as last year’s report card, when Missouri fell from 43rd.

Missouri utility efficiency programs spent $67 million last year, or .9 percent of revenue, according to the report.
