Netsmart acquires specialty EHR provider

Overland Park-based Netsmart Technologies announced Thursday that it acquired Little Rock, Ark., specialty electronic health records provider Lavender & Wyatt Systems Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Kevin Scalia, executive vice president of corporate development, said Netsmart will be adding a number of jobs to its existing 1,000-plus employees, but couldn’t pinpoint the number.

Lavender & Wyatt focuses solely on behavioral health services and offers the electronic health record service Essentia. Its Arkansas office will remain open and becomes Netsmart’s eighth location.
