Sprint confirms $2.5 billion in cuts will mean layoffs

Sprint Corp.’s ongoing efforts to cut expenses by as much as $2.5 billion will include job cuts, the Overland Park-based carrier said Sunday, according to Reuters.

Sprint’s “no stone unturned” approach to cutting company expenses leaves spokesman Dave Tovar unable to predict how many will be laid off.

Sprint will report its earnings results Tuesday and will give more details about the cuts then. Analysts expect to see another loss and shrinking sales despite mild subscriber gains.
