Garcia Properties is renovating the Brahm-Mitchellette Motor Car Co. building in south St. Louis. It will serve as the office for the real estate and development company, and it will house loft apartments.

The family-owned company purchased the two-story building last December. A $2.5 million renovation project began in March. Construction on the 88-year-old building is nearing completion.

Apartments will be available Dec. 1. The Garcia Properties office will occupy the first floor, and that will be ready for use before Christmas.
