Part of Kansas City’s Ward Parkway Center that has sat dormant for six years will be redeveloped into space for six restaurants.

Legacy Development, which manages the shopping center in south Kansas City, is planning for four full-service and two limited-service restaurants to occupy 31,000 square feet on the site of a former Dillard’s department store.

The six restaurants will be announced during a groundbreaking ceremony in January.
