Approval of nearly $26 million in public incentives means construction can begin on World Wide Technology’s new headquarters at West Port Plaza in Maryland Heights.
City Council members approved the $25.7 million package at their meeting Thursday night.
City officials said they will work with the project’s developer, Lodging Hospitality Management, to negotiate terms for the partial public financing. The agreement keeps World Wide’s 1,000 jobs in Maryland Heights and provides the tech company room to expand.
The project’s total cost is $95.8 million, including $70.1 million from private sources, officials said.
