As the holiday shopping season hits crunch time, retailers have expanded hours and staffed up for what they hope will be a profitable finish.
The past weekend included Super Saturday, which was expected to be the busiest shopping day of the season.
The National Retail Federation reported that as of last week, just 53.5 percent of holiday shoppers had completed their lists. Only 10 percent of shoppers said they were finished.
Shoppers are spending an average of $806.65 per person this holiday shopping season, according to an NRF survey, an increase of $2 over last year.
