Starting this May, Kansas City will be home to a professional women’s basketball team.
The team, called the Kansas City Majestics, will play as play as part of the Women’s Blue Chip Basektball League, which includes 40 teams in nine regions. Former Missouri standout player Sarah Campbell will serve as head coach and as co-owner with former UMKC player Jade Tinner.
The Majestics will hold three tryout sessions before their season begins. Times and locations have not been announced.
