St. Louis brand makes New York debut

Fauxgerty, a St. Louis-based fashion brand specializing in vegan leather, held a presentation and party for New York stylists and bloggers Monday in preparation for September’s New York Fashion Week.

The label was created by St. Louis native Chrissy Fogerty and launched in 2014. Meg Ebaugh-Faris, the brand’s creative artist, is originally from Cape Girardeau and now lives in St. Louis.

Fogerty says the brand is dedicated to conscientious consumerism. Their production process, she says, is designed to minimize the brand’s carbon footprint.

The duo plans to return to New York in September for a showing of their latest collection during New York Fashion week for peak exposure.
