Portland plans suit against Monsanto

Portland, Oregon’s attorney said Thursday that she plans to sue Monsanto over pollution in two of the city’s waterways.

Portland City Attorney Tracy Reeve said she wants to force the St. Louis born and based chemical and crop seed company to pay for the clean up of polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, which the company produced.

The Columbia Slough and Willamette River are the two waterways affected.
