QM Power announced Monday that it is moving from Lee’s Summit to Kansas City, more than tripling the size of its headquarters.
The company, which makes electric motors, also plans to expand its workforce by more than 40 percent by the end of this year, according to a release. QM Power currently has 28 employees.
The growth follows the QM Power’s September launch of its new Q-Sync Smart Synchronous Motor. The expanded facilities and still will help meet growing demand for the product, the company said.
“Our new headquarters will accommodate our rapid growth as we increase production of our Q-Sync Motor for commercial refrigeration and develop additional product lines based on our proprietary Q-Sync technology,” said PJ Piper, the company’s co-founder, president and CEO.
