Monsanto’s board of directors approved a $975 million investment to expand the company’s manufacturing site in Luling, La.
The Creve Coeur-based seed company is expected to complete the addition in 2019. It’s expected to add 100 full-time employees and 20 contractors at the site.
The project will allow the site to eventually produce up to 35 percent of demand for dicamba, a key component of the Roundup Ready Xtend Crop System.
