Updated at 10:25 a.m.

Springfield-based O’Reilly Development Company recently announced plans for two new senior living communities: a $23.4 million development in Joplin and a $30.8 million development in Wentzville.

The projects add to a growing list of O’Reilly Development senior communities across the state. The company is constructing facilities in Nixa and St. Charles and has another community up and running in Blue Springs.

The Joplin and Wentzville developments will be “continuum of care” communities, with neighborhoods designated independent living, assisted living, and “memory care,” according to the company. The Joplin project will have 146 units total, compared to 136 in Wentzville.

Construction is expected to begin on both projects later this year, with completion estimated for early 2018.
