Centene Corp. on Tuesday confirmed what many in the business community had already suspected: The managed care giant has plans to build a second office tower east of its Clayton headquarters, and the scope of the project is much larger than initially thought.
Offices, a corporate training center and auditorium, corporate lodging, store space and parking garages comprise the project. “Extraordinary landscaping” and “architecturally distinct buildings” will also be included, according to a document Clayco Corp. has filed with the city of Clayton.
Clayco’s application provides no cost estimates, building details or architectural renderings. Further plans and renderings of the project are likely to come out at Clayton’s Plan Commission and Architectural Review Board meeting on June 6.
