Crushed Red Urban Bake and Chop Shop, a Clayton-based fast casual salad and pizza chain, has signed a franchise development agreement for 20 new restaurants in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Arkansas.
The chain, which features salads and pizzas and offers catering, is also growing in three of Missouri’s four largest metropolitan areas, adding restaurants in Chesterfield, Edwardsville, Ill., Columbia and Overland Park, Kan. in the coming months.
An investor group led by Regent Bank CEO Sean Kouplen signed a franchise development agreement to open a minimum of 20 Crushed Red restaurants in four states by 2020, Crushed Red said Wednesday.
“Crushed Red is wildly popular in St. Louis and we believe it has the potential to be a national brand,” Kouplen said in a statement, adding the group next plans to look at Dallas, Oklahoma City and Kansas City for expansion.
